COMMENTS:
This Asian native and member of the mallow family
bears large flowers with white centers. A tender,
trailing perennial which enjoys a rich, moderately
dry soil. Not commonly seen in American gardens,
but if you are fortunate to obtain seeds, sow
outdoors after the soil has warmed. Nick the seeds,
then soak them overnight. They will sink in the
water when they are ready to be planted. In hot
climates it is best to grow this annual in filtered
sunlight. Blooms to frost. Hardy in Zones 9 -
11.
