BOTANICAL: Celosia cristata plumosa

PRONOUNCED: kay-LO-see-uh kris-TAY-tuh plum-OH-suh

COMMON: Cockscomb, Feathered amaranth.

LIGHT: Full sun

HEIGHT: 6" - 3 ft. x 10" x 1 ft.

COLORS: Pink, orange, red or yellow.

COMMENTS: Differs from the stiff-looking crested cockscomb (Celosia cristata [childsii group]) in that their flowers are arranged in loose plumes. High organic, well-drained soil. Reliable all summer and look more appealing planted in groups rather than dotted singularly around the garden. Moderately water.
