BOTANICAL: Heliotropium arborescens

PRONOUNCED: hee-lee-oh-TROH-pee-um ar-bo-RES-senz

COMMON: Cherry pie plant, Heliotrope.

LIGHT: Full sun

HEIGHT: 18" - 3 ft. x equal spread

COLORS: Deep purple, lilac or white.

COMMENTS: Performs best in soil high in organic matter. Water moderately and fertilize monthly but good drainage is essential, and allow soil to dry out between waterings. Give container plants light shade. Very fragrant, so plant in volume to provide a perfumed garden. Pinch out young plants frequently to encourage a dense, bushy habit. Slow to develop, therefore, the largest, healthiest starters are best.
