COMMENTS: This outstanding plant is a native plant of the Rocky Mountains and bears thick, upright spikes of orange flowers. It forms a dense 3-inch sphere of foliage covered with flowers from June to frost. Very easily grown in well-drained average soil kept on the dry side. The nectar-rich flowers are much loved by hummingbirds.
