COMMENTS: A chinensis var. taquetti is a group of tall, late blooming astilbe. It is unusual for its greater tolerance of heat and drought than most other astilbe. Provide a constantly moist, well-drained soil enriched with compost or humus. Astilbe are heavy feeders.
