COMMENTS:
Very showy with bushy foliage similar to its
cousins Lupinus and Thermopsis, this
hardy plant likes a permanent location in moist,
deep, humusy soil. The plant has long taproots.
Regional forms emerge with a dark purple cast to
the new foliage that disappears as they
flower.
