COMMENTS: A vividly colorful plant, often sold as a sun lover, but prospers better in bright shade. It is long in bloom and provides a dense groundcover with trailing, wiry, glossy stems and bright green leaves. The 3/4 inch flowers which bloom on reddish stalks, often continue flowering even when the foliage takes on a bronze cast by late September. Provide a consistently moist, well-drained, humusy soil and plant in groups of 3 for the best effect. When established, spreads quickly and indefinitely via rhizomatous roots.
