BOTANICAL:
Tanacetum parthenium (prev:
Chrysanthemum parthenium Matricaria capensis, M.
eximia)
PRONOUNCED:
tan-uh-SEE-tum par-THEN-ee-um
COMMON:
Feverfew
August
- White
COMMENTS:
Because it is not reliably hardly in all areas
of its range, but does self-seed eagerly, this
perennial should perhaps be treated in some gardens
as an over productive tender perennial. Is
adaptable to even the poorest soil, but prefers a
well-drained, moist sandy soil and winter mulch for
double security.
