PRONOUNCED:

COMMON:
Clematis vine
July
- Bicolored, purple and white.
COMMENTS:
Naturally purple, C. viticella blooms
late in the season, has smaller but still stunning
blooms, and this group is less prone to wilt or
other diseases which sometime effect the larger
flowering forms. Prune hard each winter as it
blossoms on new growth. Provide a generous size
hole filled with humus enriched soil and keep
moist. Keep the roots in shade.
C. v. 'Minuet' shown, is one of the more
popular in the viticella group. It blooms
abundantly on new wood.
Clematis can be grouped into three types.
