COMMENTS: A 2002 introduction and new color. Velvety ruby-red flowers with contrasting yellow centers bloom all summer into fall-attracting butterflies and birds. Rarely bothered by pests or diseases. Great for sunny borders, rock gardens and containers.

*By late 2003, this species proved to be a very unreliable bloomer in Zone 6 by one of my local nurseries, even though it is labeled as hardy in Zones 4 to 9.
