COMMENTS: All cultivars make splendid cut flowers and bloom in the garden continuously for months. Tolerant of drought, the plant will develop crown rot and excessive foliage in heavy soil, consistently moist sites. Provide a well-drained, rich, light soil. This is a short lived plant. Suggested varieties:
G. x grandiflora 'Baby Cole' is a dwarf plant only 8" tall.
G. x grandiflora 'Burgundy' stands at 30" and produces wine-red, 3" flowers.
G. x grandiflora 'Goblin' (shown) has red flowers with yellow margins on a 1 ft. plant.
G. x grandiflora 'Kobold', 8" x 18", has red flowers with yellow margins.
