COMMON: Lenten rose BLOOM HEIGHT LIGHT ZONE Early March to mid-May 15" - 18" x indefinite Semishade 3 - 9 March - Pink, white or purple COMMENTS: Its 2-inch flowers appear on leafless, branched stems with 2 to 6 blossoms. Dislikes heat intensely and needs rich, acid, constantly moist but well-drained soil. Slugs occasionally feed on the foliage or flowers.
