COMMENTS:
A native plant with dozens of bright yellow
flower heads about 3/4 inches wide. The flowerheads
form at the tips of short branches at the top of
the plant. Plants are very leafy and grayish, being
covered with short white hairs. It has a bushy
appearance because the outermost branches curved
outward. The long taproot penetrates deep
underground. It much prefers a dry, sandy, soil and
an excellent choice for seaside gardens. Pinching
back young growth will encourage bushiness and
greater flowering later.
